About the Journal

Oncology Issues is the official journal of the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC). As one of the only non-clinical, operational journals covering cancer, Oncology Issues provides “how-to” articles for the entire multidisciplinary oncology care team, on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Development of model comprehensive care programs
  • Cancer service line development, including supportive care and ancillary services
  • Operational, financial, and program management
  • Strategic and financial planning and budgeting
  • Reimbursement and revenue cycle management
  • Joint ventures and partnerships across care settings
  • Staffing models, recruitment and retention efforts, and succession planning
  • Population-based, equitable healthcare initiatives
  • Quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Care delivery models and alternative payment models
  • Precision medicine and molecular and genomic testing
  • Research and clinical trials, including collaborations between community and academic programs

  • Screening and prevention programs

Journal content addresses issues of interest to all members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team, including medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists; advanced practice providers (APPs); oncology nurses; medical directors; cancer program administrators; members of the c-suite; practice managers; pharmacists; oncology social workers; cancer registrars; nurse and patient navigators; revenue cycle managers; financial navigators; oncology program data managers; and more.
